From the New York Times:

Today’s crossword is a collaboration between the New York Times constructor Ross Trudeau and his father, the cartoonist Garry Trudeau. You might have heard of him. He’s the brains and pen behind “Doonesbury,” the Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoon that has been running since 1970.
