Editorial Cartoonist history: Jay Norwood “Ding” Darling

Found an interesting article on a two-time Pulitzer Prize winning editorial cartoonist named Jay “Ding” Darling who drew cartoons for the Sioux City Journal and Des Moines Register at the beginning of the last century. An active conservationist of his time, he was appointed by President Roosevelt in 1934 to head up U.S. Biological Survey (which later became the U.S Fish and Wildlife Service).

For those in Florida, you can catch a TV special on WGCU-TV about his life and work on March 23rd.
