Comic history Comic strips

Profiled: Charles M. Schulz Museum

Great article in the San Francisco Chronicle about the Charles Schulz Museum.

The Schulz Museum has had about 100 unique exhibitions since then, from an early presentation of Japanese quilts with Peanuts themes to the recent self-explanatory ?Heartbreak? in Peanuts gallery. ?Peanuts in Wonderland,? which includes the comic strip?s tributes to Lewis Carroll?s classic, is the next major exhibition opening Nov. 8.

The themes are planned out years in advance; the last exhibition on the museum timeline is the 2019 premiere of ?Peace, Love and Woodstock,? tied to the 50th anniversary of the Woodstock music festival. (Which gave Snoopy?s avian sidekick his name.)

Still on my bucket list of places to visit.
