I’ve been a fan of ProCreate for a couple of years now. By far the best drawing app on iOS. And just to put your mind at ease, I don’t get any kickbacks for recommending the app. I’m just a fan.

Remember that viral video of someone drawing Morgan Freeman that created debate whether it was traced or real? Regardless of the veracity, ProCreate was the app the drawing created on.

I noticed that they have temporarily put the app on sale. If you haven’t tried it, it’s only $3 – less than a coffee.

I agree – Procreate makes a FANTASTIC app for the iPad – I use it and it’s a joy to use! And half price is just peanuts for what you get…

About the Morgan Freeman drawing – the debate was not about the artist tracing the image, it was more about the suspicious pixel perfection, which could only be achieved with Photoshop and a Cintiq and not an iPad as he bragged – very likely he used Adobe’s layer techniques and other tricks, erasing his way to the final image – just check out his website and you’ll see his level of ability doesn’t approach what he claimed to have accomplished…
