The Kennedy cartoon that Post-Dispatch retrieved off the streets before people could see it

Fascinating story out of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch about the Tom Engelhardt cartoon that was published in 1963 just hours before President Kennedy was shot. The cartoon depicted Kennedy in Texas, in a box, between shooters. Worst possible timing of a cartoon ever.

The newspaper, realizing the cartoon had already been sent out, dispatched their trucks again to retrieve as many copies of the paper off the street as they could to prevent its circulation.
