Festival of Cartoon Art sells out! But some events are still available

I think every story I post here about OSU’s Festival of Cartoon Art ends with a reminder to go and register. If you didn’t heed my suggestion, you’re too late! It’s. sold. out.

OSU Festival of Cartoon Art

But, there are several other events that weekend that are running in conjunction with the festival that do have tickets available. Insert gentle suggestion to buy them now here.

Free events include:

  • The Academic Conference on Thursday and Friday.

Ticket required events:

  • Paul Pope and Jeff Smith will be talking about their careers and comics history
  • “An Evening with the Hernandez Bros” – watch alternative comic artists Gilbert and Jaime Hernandez discuss their series Love & Rockets
  • Matt Bors, Eddie Campbell, Stephan Pastis, Brian Basset, and Kazu Kibuishi.
  • You can watch the screening of Stripped and attend the related panel featuring Patrick McDonnell, Hilary Price, and Dylan Meconis
  • You can watch a screening of The Art of Spiegelman

I may have missed an event or two in there, but really, there’s a lot going on and if you’re ever going to miss the festival, don’t let this be the one.
