Indian cartoonist jailed for insulting Islam
Skip to commentsHarish Yadav who goes by the pen name Mussaveer was arrested last week for drawing a cartoon about the Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s refusal to wear a skull cap during the fast in Ahmedabad.
He was arrested under the Indian Penal Code that punish for “deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs.”
He made bail the next day.
