Aaron McGruder takes on ‘Esquires’ State of the American Black Man
Skip to commentsAaron McGruder recently was asked by Esquire magazine his opinion of the state of the American black man. Instead of a Boondocks cartoon, they received a 20 question questionnaire. Some of the questions Aaron asks are: “What cost more? Your house or your chain?” and “What is your Katrina status? A: Displaced by Katrina, or B: Inconvenienced by family displaced by Katrina.”
When Esquire asked McGruder to comment on his submission he replied, “I don?t explain the jokes. That?s not a good thing to get into. It is what it is.”
Aaron’s questionnaire will be part of the July edition.
