			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The July 21st <a href="http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0708/11719.html" rel="nofollow">New Yorker cover is a raising eyebrows</a> and both the Obama and McCain campaigns have called it &#8220;tasteless and offensive.&#8221;  The cover shows a cartoon of presidential candidate Barack Obama in a turban and middle-eastern garb fist-bumping his gun-slinging wife as the American flag burns in the fireplace. The New Yorker&#8217;s press release previewing the cover explained that &#8220;artist <strong>Barry Blitt</strong> satirizes the use of scare tactics and misinformation in the presidential election to derail Barack Obama&#8217;s campaign.&#8221;</p>

Just received word that the second Stay Tooned! magazine is coming together and should be out in about a month. This issue will feature Mike Peters, Chad Carpenter, Tom Bancroft, Ben Towle, Bill Day, Mason Mastroianni and Joe Staton who will also illustrate the cover (see illustration which will be colored by Matt Webb.).

<p>Pixar, the nine hundred pound gorilla of animation, is releasing Wall-E on June 27. In the movie Wall-E is left behind on earth after all the humans leave, but is discovered by Eve sent to back to earth after 700 years to determine if the planet is safe to return to. The movie features the voice talent of Sigourney Weaver, John Ratzenberger, Kathy Najimy, Fred Willard, Shelby Forthright and Jeff Garlin.</p>

<p>MGM is rolling out a Frankenstein movie entitled &#8220;Igor&#8221; about a mad scientist&#8217;s assistant with aspirations of inventions as well. The movie features John Cusack stars as Igor with <strong>Steve Buscemi</strong>, <strong>Jay Leno</strong>, <strong>John Cleese</strong> and <strong>Molly Shannon</strong> as supporting voice talent. It comes out September 19.</p>
