Non Sequitur Sign-off contest announces winner
Yesterday’s Non Sequitur announced the winner to the caption/sign-off contest. The winner went to Mary Cameron of Leander, TX. She’ll receive a signed original cartoon and an autographed replica of the sandwich board featured in the cartoon.

National Newspaper Award rules changes announced
The deadline for the National Newspaper Award has been announced: January 11, 2010. The Association of Canadian Editorial Cartoonists websites notes that the required number of cartoons increased to five editorial cartoons instead of the “up to three” in previous years.

Benson to judge free expression cartoon contest
Arizona Republic editorial cartoonist Steve Benson will be the lead judge in a cartooning contest sponsored by the Council for Secular Humanism. Jesse Springer wins second science idol contest
