Six days left to support the Kenosha Festival Of Cartooning

We’re down to the last six days of the Kenosha Festival Of Cartooning Indiegogo campaign and Anne could use your help.

The festival is a 3 day festival in (you guessed it) Kenosha WI. Those three days are packed with presentations, workshops, comic art exhibits, and panel discussions by some really great cartoonists. Putting on a seller event like this isn’t cheap which is why Anne does this campaign every year. Helping her build this great event each year is worth whatever you can donate. If you’re like me and won’t be able to enjoy the festival in person, she has a lot of great perks for donors – original art, books, challenge coins, portfolio review by Amy Lago (well worth the $50), and a Ed Steckley water color caricature of yourself just to name a few.

Here’s their pitch video. Head over and please donate generously.

  1. Alan, thanks so much for the shout out!

    Three important points:

    1) While the event is free to the public it is a PAYING gig for the artists! We cover their meals, hotel, appearance fee and as much of their travel expenses as we can. We believe all artists should be paid for their time and trouble.

    2) This is our LAST crowdfunding campaign. The festival will continue – we hope – but we will utilize other sources of financial support in the future. So if you like getting cool cartooning swag this is your last chance.

    3) Consider supporting the fest and selecting “no perk” if you just believe in our mission. We gratefully accept each and every dollar and ALL money raised goes to cover expenses. I do not personally get a cut or a salary. Any unused money goes into the kitty for the next fest.
