David Pope sweeps three categories including Cartoonist of Year
Australian cartoonist David Pope was honored with this year’s highest award given by the Australian Cartoonists’ Association: the Gold Stanley Award for cartoonist of the year. He was also honored in two other categories best caricaturist and best editorial political cartoonist. David is the editorial cartoonist for The Canberra Times.
From The Canberra Times:
Association president Jules Faber described Mr Pope as the ‘‘perfect choice’’ for the Gold Stanley.
‘‘He’s a brilliant artist, he’s got an incredible insight into politics … and overall he’s just perfect, he’s the perfect choice,’’ he said.
