Batman #1 sold for $850,000
A near-mint first edition of a Batman comic book has sold for $850,000 in a private transaction through Heritage Auction. The edition was first printed in 1940. The new owners are only disclosed as an “investor partnership.”

I always loved the green cape.(We got those oversized DC treasury editions in the ’70s.)
My friends and I just assumed it was an old or unused version of the costume. Wasn’t until later I heard it was just a printing error or something.
