Joe Wos named “Top 40 under 40”

Pittsburgh Magazine has named ToonSeum Executive Director Joe Wos as one of “Top 40 under 40” in this November’s special issue. The “40 Under 40” recognizes 40 talented individuals under the age of 40 who are making a positive impact on the region’s development.

Joe is the founder of the ToonSeum, Pittsburgh?s Museum of Cartoon Art. He has also been a cartoonist and storyteller performing nationwide for over 20 years. As an artist he has created several interactive installation pieces, including the popular LuminoCITY, featured as part of Pittsburgh?s light up night for two years. In 2009 Joe received “The Work of Art Award” from Pittsburgh?s Arts Council for his work in bringing themed life drawing events to Pittsburgh.

Regarding the honor, Joe quips, “I am currently 39 years old, and happy to have been awarded this honor before my warranty expires.”
