Chowder’s cancellation confirmed

Chowder creator C.H. Greenblatt has confirmed on his blog that the show has been canceled.

We’re still finishing up lots of good episodes. I think you’ll see that we hit a really good groove third season. My biggest worry before we were cancelled was what would happen to the crew, but luckily, a large chunk of them got hired over at Disney on a new project. It’s funny how many old CN faces I see over there now.

I’m gonna do an exit interview with Mr. Greenblatt for my blog. If anyone wants to ask him a question, send it to me by tomorrow (Saturday) at noon.

I started watching Chowder with my kids on your recommendation, Charles, and I have to say I wasn’t disappointed. It’s a really unique and creative show and is absolutely hilarious IMO.

It’s a real shame that CN isn’t going forward with it.

That’s too bad…the last two eps I saw had that freewheeling hilarity that I love.

Fortunately Chowder will live on in reruns, until Cartoon Network decides to pull it out of rotation for some lame reality-tv ripoff.

My fiance’s favorite cartoon. She’s going to be disappointed.

Not so funny. Disney WISHES they were CN.

Never heard of the show, so in all honesty, my heart doesn’t ache at the loss.

I still wish the guy good future endeavors though – for him and his team.

That is sad! My eleven year old and I love that show! One of the two more unique toons I’ve seen in a long time, the writing superb. Makes me wanna “Radda-radda radda RAdda!”

I find it depressing that spongebob is one of the oldest cartoons on TV these days … what’s with the unique ones always getting canceled?
