News Briefs for July 29, 2009

Animation

» Wallace & Gromit fans have something to look forward to in September. Wallace & Gromit: The Complete Collection will be released September 22 on DVD and Blu-Ray

Books

» The Cleveland Scene interviews Nevin Martell, the author of the upcoming book on Bill Watterson. Not a lot of new information. » Scott Nickel interviews Carla Ventresca and Henry Beckett creators of the comic On a Claire Day. While you’re visiting his site, don’t forget to read the interview with Ralph Hagen, creator of The Barn.

Webcomics

» New York Times’ City Room blog has a write up of the webcomic As the Toto Turns – a satirical look at professional cycling.

  1. I am an absolute fan of Wallace and Gromit and I consider it my favorite franchise, but seriously, how many times can they release the shorts and movie?

I have at least four different releases in my collection right now. I understand the upgrade to Blu-ray, but another DVD collection? (rolleyes)…

Aardman is becoming another George Lucas.
