Jay Kennedy Scholarship deadline: February 6
This year’s Jay Kennedy Scholarship deadline for college students is February 6th. Applicants must be students in the US, Canada or Mexico that will be in their Junior or Senior year of college during the 2009-2010 academic year. Applicants DO NOT have to be art majors to be eligible for this scholarship. Those wishing to enter are required to send 5 samples of their best cartooning artwork and where it was published (print or web) and fill out the application form. Submissions are judged by top cartoonists and the recipient is honored at the annual National Cartoonists Society’s Reuben Award banquet. The amount given out each year is at the discretion of the National Cartoonists Society Foundation (the charitable arm of the NCS).
