French editor fired for running Mohammed cartoon
A french editor has been fired for running a cartoon on the front page depicting Buddhist, Jewish, Muslim and Christian holy figures sitting on a cloud with the caption reading “Don’t worry Mohammad, we’ve all been caricatures here”. The editor, Jacques Lefranc, was dismissed by the paper’s owner as “a sign of respect.”
