Herblock book in works for 100th birthday
According to Mike Rhode, the Herb Block Foundation is working on an extensive book collection of Herblock’s cartoons to be released in time for his 100th birthday, October 13, 2009. The planned collection is said to include a DVD of 16,000 of his cartoons and a 4,000 word essay by Haynes Johnson, who was Herblock’s former colleague at the Post.
