Joe Heller opens exhibit
Green Bay Press-Gazette editorial cartoonist Joe Heller will be featured in an exhibit that opens on April 19 in Neville (WI). It will run for four months and will feature over 200 of his editorial cartoons.
Heller started at the Press-Gazette in 1985. The exhibit will include a smattering of his older editorial cartoons, with an emphasis on pieces created since 2000. Drawings will be arranged by topic - national, international, state and local issues; the Green Bay Packers; celebrities; the environment, and more.
The mass grouping will contain volumes of information and history, Heller said.
“It’s just one of those things that you don’t realize that you’re documenting history here - be it local, state, nation, wars, economic recessions or what have you,” he said. “We do it on a daily basis.”
