NCS to honor Sandra Boynton with Milton Caniff Lifetime Achievement Award
The National Cartoonist Society will be honoring Sandra Boynton with its Milton Caniff Lifetime Achievement Award. Sandra is best known for her many children’s books with cuddly animals and sparse layout, but she began her career creating greeting cards and her 1975 “Hippo Birdie Two Ewes” card has sold over 200 millions copies. In addition to the books and cards, she has also produced four albums.
She will be honored during this year’s Reuben weekend in New Orleans.
