» Wednesday’s Baldo paid a special tribute to Gus Arriola, creator of Gordo. Hector Cantu told E&P that “Gus broke ground for Latino strips. He was a tremendous inspiration to me and Carlos.” Gus passed away earlier this month at the age of 90.
» Funky Winkerbean creator Tom Batiuk will be the featured guest at “a Wear Affair,” a luncheon and fashion show, this Saturday. Proceeds from the fund raiser will go to The Noble Circle Project for Women Surviving Cancer.
» Bizarro creator Dan Piraro will be the featured comedian tonight at The Purple Onion in San Francisco. Dan will do his one hour show following comedian Johnny Steele.
