USA Weekend to publish own online comic strip
USA WEEKEND has announced that for the first time ever, they will run a weekly online comic on their web site. Previously, they’ve published panel cartoons that have run in their paper. Casey Shaw, USA WEEKEND’s creative Manager, does the Thurbear comic that will be updated on their site every Thursday.
“While I’ve contributed more than 200 individual panel cartoons to the print version of the magazine in the past,” says Shaw, “I’m really excited about this opportunity. I really love the comic strip format and having a continuing feature will allow me to play much more with developing a recurring cast of characters.”
