Aaron McGruder to develop live-action series
Aaron McGruder, creator of the comic strip and television show The Boondocks, has signed with Super Deluxe - an online comedy site to develop a live action series based on his “brand of racially charged humor” according to a Reuter’s story. Aaron’s show, “The Super Rumble Mixshow,” will begin next month. He’ll develop 20 mini-episodes of sketch comedy and other formats.
“‘The Boondocks’ is something I’m very invested in, but there’s a lot of other things that express my point of view that don’t take 19-20 months,” said McGruder, who recently completed the second season of “Boondocks.” “This is just opening up a whole lot of creative opportunities.”
