Celebrity auction includes autographed bowls from Jim Davis, Lynn Johnston and Bill Keane
An annual celebrity auction was held yesterday in Winnipeg Canada to raise funds for a local food bank. The annual Empty Bowls Dinner provides attendees a bread and soup dinner and a chance to bid on autographed bowls signed by Hollywood a-list celebrities, musicians, and cartoonists. Among the celebrity bowls included bowls signed by Family Circus creator Bill Keane, For Better or For Worse creator Lynn Johnston and Garfield creator Jim Davis. Other big names included: Carol Burnett, John Grisham, Jim Davis, Howard Stern, Paul Anka, John Travolta, Steve Nash, Alan Jackson, George Steinbrenner, Tom Hanks, Al Gore, Bill Cosby, Whoopi Goldberg, William Shatner, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Josh Groban, Jim Belushi, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, John Mellencamp, Harry Connick Jr., Anne Murray, and Alex Trebek.
