The 2008 Glyph Comics Award nominations are now being accepted for its 2008 competition. The award spotlights the best black comics and creators in the industry. If your comic strip or it’s material is black-themed, you’re eligible for the award. The award defines black-themed as:
any comic with any combination of the following: a black protagonist(s), or at least a black character(s) pivotal to the direction of the story; a setting(s) or a theme(s) that explores the black experience within the United States and/or abroad, past, present, and/or future; and/or a comic of any kind written and/or illustrated by a black creator(s).
Deadline is January 20th for any eligible material published during the 2007 calendar year. E-mail the award’s founder for further information.
