Toonseum Requesting Donations of Original Art
I received an email from Joe Wosm, Curator/Founder of the ToonSeum Gallery at the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh (see my earlier post for more details about this museum). He’s requesting donations of original art to be added to their permanent collection.
We would love for you to be a part of our efforts to show the artistry and craft of the cartoonists to our guests, by donating a piece of original art to our collection. We want to show all aspects of the creative process from rough drafts to final drawings, from production sketches to production cels, and even the tools cartoonist use.
You can help by sending us, an original sketch, a comic, a letter to children about your creative process or even an old pen or drawing board. This art will be displayed as part of the rotating exhibits at the ToonSeum Gallery. All art donated to the ToonSeum Gallery will remain in its collection and never be sold or auctioned.
For more information on how to do this, visit the ToonSeum web site.
