Stone Soup Home Birth Met with Praise
Jan Eliot’s current story line about Joan’s pregnancy and baby delivery is being met by many midwives and mothers as a welcomed examination of alternative childbirth methods discussed on the comic pages. Jan is receiving many emails on a daily basis supporting the current story line.
From one email:
So many people believe that the only place a baby should be born is in the hospital, when studies show that normal, low-risk women fare better having their babies at home.
The actual birth isn’t scheduled for another few weeks.
