Commercial Dispatch drops 4 legacy features; picks up 7
The Commercial Dispatch announced Monday that they have dropped Wizard of Id, B.C. Dennis the Menace and Blondie in a recent redesign of their features section. Non-legacy strips such as Lio, The Other Coast and the Elderberries also were tossed out to make room for seven new features that include: Zits, Baby Blues, Flo and Friends, Doonesbury, Tina’s Groove, F Minus and Rubes.
That is the most number of legacy strips that I’ve seen a newspaper drop at one time. It will be interesting to watch and see if reader reaction forces them to pick some of those back up.
