Tom the Dancing Bug celebrates 10 years of syndication
Ruben Bolling, creator of Tom the Dancing Bug will celebrate 10 years of syndication with Universal Press this month. In the last 10 years, the feature has won many awards including: “Hot Comic Strip of the Year,” as named by Rolling Stone magazine; and, second place two years in a row for Best Cartoon in the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies’ AltWeekly Awards.
Bolling started the comic while a student at Harvard Law in the late 80’s early 90’s and was picked up by Universal in 1997.
