Johnny Hart’s comics continue to lose papers
Johnny Hart’s features (B.C. and Wizard of Id) have lost a couple more papers. Here’s a review of what is being added and dropped in the last couple of week:
Stephan Pastis’ Pearls Before Swine has picked up the South Bend Tribune (replaces the The Wizard of Id) and The Richmond Times-Dispatch where he displaces B.C..
Jef Mallett’s Frazz has also been added to the Richmond Times-Dispatch replacing Foxtrot. Yes. There are still newspapers out there replacing a feature that retired in January.
The Springfield News-Leader will be replacing the Wizard of Id and is asking for feedback on which feature should take the spot.
Allison Barrows’ Preteena is back in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin after being dropped after reader protest. The Sunday version will return later this summer. The Preteena return is made possible by dropping B.C.
