More details on Dan Piraro auction activities
Last month I told you that Dan Piraro was involved with an auction to help raise money for an animal sanctuary in upper-state New York and that other cartoonists’ work were also on the auction block. From Dan I learn that some of the other cartoonists’ work will include: Garry Trudeau, Patrick McDonnell, Carol Lay, Nina Paley, Ted Rall, Elwood Smith, and some popular features like Beetle Bailey, Mother Goose and Grimm, Pooch Cafe, Hi & Lois, Fusco Brothers, Speed Bump and of course comic and fine art from Dan himself.
The auction benefits Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary, a non-profit farm animal rescue and advocacy organization that takes in farm animals from situations of abuse, neglect and abandonment.
If your interested in picking up a few pieces of cartoon art for you collection (or just come to check out the action), the event is on May 19 in New York City at the Jivamukti Yoga center.
