This week’s comic page line-up changes

After receiving complaints that the print on the Sunday comics were too small and hard to read, they’re printing the comics bigger - but discontinuing a couple of strips to make room. They’ve dropped Peanuts, Frank & Earnest, Rose is Rose, Blondie, B.C. and Family Circus. These will continue to run as dailies. Mother Goose and Grimm which was running only as a Sunday feature has been dropped completely.

The Times Dispatch is still running guest comics. Next week they’ll begin running Stephan Pastis’ Pearls Before Swine (currently it’s Rich Stevens Diesel Sweeties.)

Hmm…well, I guess I should be glad the The Sacramento Bee is doing something about the small size. It’s also nice to see that newer comics avoided being dropped this time around, too. (although granted, I don’t know what comics SacBee runs altogether)

Oh, and another change was forgotten. In the New Hampshire Union Leader (Manchester, NH), Cathy was replaced by Overboard.
