Over the Hedge, Flushed Away win some Annie Awards
Last December, I told you about Over the Hedge, Open Season and Flushed Away were up for several Annie Awards. The Annie Awards are the animation industry’s big award. The big winner was Pixar’s Cars - which won Best Animated Feature beating out Over the Hedge and Open Season. Over the Hedge and Flushed Away did well in some individual awards: lighting effects (Flushed Away), character animation (Flushed Away), character design (Over the Hedge), Directing (Over the Hedge), Production design (Flushed Away), Storyboarding (Over the Hedge), Voice Acting (Flushed Away), and writing (Flushed Away)
Readers of this blog know that the movie Over the Hedge was based on Michael Fry and T. Lewis’ comic strip Over the Hedge and that In the Bleachers cartoonist Steve Moore wrote the treatments for Open Season and Flushed Away.
