Dave Astor: editorial cartoonists live in the best, worst of times
Last Friday, E&P senior editor Dave Astor, posted a column in which he regards today’s editorial cartoonists are in a “golden age” yet at the same time in a “sad era” due to the dwindling number of professional cartoonists. The golden age is due to the ability to use color, animation and computer-aid enhancements. He also cites the increase use of blogs as extra tasks that cartoonists engage in in hopes of keeping their jobs.
