Editorial cartoonists create popular local football accessories
Two editorial cartoonist are getting into football fever this year. Mike Lester, editorial cartoonist for the Rome News-Tribune is designing t-shirts for fans of the Auburn University Tigers football team and Joe Heller, Green Bay Press-Gazette editorial cartoonist, is drawing placards for the Green Bay Packers.
Mike’s work can be see on Tiger Rags, where his work is placed on shirts, posters. At the time of this writing, of the top 10 most popular products - five feature Mike’s work. As an aside, the article linked above mentions that Mike designed the Buzz mascot for Georgia Tech.
Over in Wisconsin, Joe Heller is drawing printable signs for Packers fans to place in windows or in cubicles. You can see his work over at PackersNews.com.
