NY Times article on Heaven’s Love is heaven sent
Kevin Frank was recently spotlighted in the New York Times and it has raised his feature’s profile (but perhaps not the number of papers subscribing). This site has a story on the outcome of that exposure.
“It’s a big deal to be published in that newspaper,” he said. “I’m still shocked. And, it’s increased the hits on my Web site, too.”
…“Newspapers are looking for ‘niche markets’ now; cartoons that appeal to certain readers, so I hope I have a shot at it being picked up by a big paper. It’s really about being Canadian and, as I am a Christian, the element of faith is there, too.”
…Mr. Frank said that while he approaches his work as a full-time career, he knows how difficult it is to “make the big time.”
“I’m really happy the Times published the strip and did a story about me, and although it might take awhile to be picked up by a big paper, I know I’ve given it my best shot.”
