Garry Trudeau: Not only a cartoonist, but therapist, too
According to AirForceTimes.com, the storyline Trudeau has used in his comic strip “Doonesbury” (of B.D. losing a leg in combat) has been helpful in the healing of real-life soldiers.

As a rehab counselor who works with disabled vets, the BD storyline is absolutely on track true and brings a quality of gentle human compassion and humor to the challenges of my vets. I found yet another reason to love Garry Trudeau!
