Bill Watterson gave an interview?
I’m highly suspicious of this little tidbit out of story in the Providence Journal (RI). In a story about how fifth grade students researched professions based on what they enjoy doing as a hobby, one such student claims to have interviewed Bill Watterson.
So let’s get this straight. A fifth grader in Rhode Island, several states away from Ohio - where Watterson is suspected of living, received permission to interview Watterson and actually got to ask the questions. Sounds to me that some kid woke up one morning realized he had a report due that day, and went to the gargantuan three volume set of the “Complete Calvin and Hobbes” and quickly wrote down some stuff Watterson penned in the beginning of the book.
