Rick Kirkman on Baby Blues hitting the 1k mark
Earlier this month, I posted a story about “Baby Blues” (co-created by Jerry Scott and Rick Kirkman) topping the 1000 client milestone. The Arizona Republic has a story on Rick and his role in the success.
Many scenarios originate from everyday parenting woes the cartoonist dealt with when his two children were little (they’re now 18 and 22). When Kirkman and Scott created Baby Blues, Kirkman’s younger daughter was not yet a year old, so he was able to use the strip as a cathartic outlet.
