Any cartoonist can post to mobile phones with goGags
Full Tilt Features has announced goGags a service that allows cartoonists to put their cartoons on mobile phones - a growing market. Any cartoonist can join. There is a registration fee of $50/year (only $25 until end of March), but the cartoonist keeps 50% of revenue. If you want a piece of the pie, this might be an opportunity.
Are you tired of mobile deals that typically offer 2% to 6% of the sale price, take months to pay, give you no control of content, and offer no readership feedback?

It’s a cool idea, and I hope it works, but…
…as a consumer, I think it’s overpriced. They want 50 cents per cartoon. I pay about $12 A YEAR for a subscription to MyComicsPage, which lets me get a hundred or so different cartoons every day.
I’d be willing to pay more for MyComicsPAge (provided I thought more went to the cartoonist), but at 50 cents per cartoon, I’d be looking at $8 per day (about $2900 per year) for the comics I read.
I think goGags is going to price themselves out of the market.
