Ann Telnaes is no longer a Chix
E&P reports that Ann Telnaes, the Pulitzer Prize editorial cartoonist and contributor to the “Six Chix” comic feature distributed by King Features, is leaving the other Chix to concentrate on other efforts.
“I have some other projects and ideas I wanted to pursue, so I needed to reclaim some of my time,” said Telnaes, who won the 2001 Pulitzer Prize for editorial cartooning.
Carla Ventresca will be taking over the Thursday slot. BTW, Carla has un upcoming feature called “On a Claire Day” that will be launching April 3rd. The feature is co-created by Henry Beckett.
Update: E&P reports this as if it is something new. I remember seeing the Six Chix strip late last year when I first mentioned Rina Piccolo’s web site and I don’t recall seeing Ann’s work presented. Can anyone tell me when Ann left the Six Chix strip?
