Iran retaliates with Holocaust cartoon contest
Early in the Danish Mohammad cartoon contoversy, I saw some U.S. cartoonists humorously suggesting that this will start a cartoon war fought with pen and ink. These cartoons appeared to be prophetic as a Iran is sponsoring a cartoon contest on the topic of the Holocaust which many muslims believe either didn’t happen, or was greatly exaggerated to give the Jews greater political power.
Information on the Holocaust contest is readily available on line. Note that according to Ann Coulter, only Garry Trudeau and Ted Rall have made submisstions – which they deny. When asked if they wanted to respond to such a claim Garry said, “Nah” and Ted said, “I might sue her for libel.”
Hang on guys, this is going to be a wild ride.
