Spot the Frog, others dropped in KC Star shake up
With the shake up at the Kansas City Star, a few features have been dropped.
One of the features being dropped is “Spot the Frog” by Mark Heath. On his blog he says,
Having the Spot sunday in The Star was a pleasure. They were printed with fidelity — not a given when it comes to sundays — and it inspired some kind readers to say hello.
The other two features affected are “Mark Trail” and “Zippy.” “Calvin and Hobbes” also ran on that page, but disappeared when the promotional run ended at the end of December.
The Star did pick up “Brevity” and the Sudoku number puzzle for their daily comic pages.
