Canadian editorial cartoonists wishing to compete in the annual Atlantic Journalism Awards need to have their entries postmarked no later than January 31 of this year.
Atlantic Canadian journalists are reminded to submit their print, radio and television stories and images to the 25th Atlantic Journalism Awards. The entries should be postmarked no later than Tuesday, January 31, 2006. Panels of judges from coast to coast review the entries and select three finalists in each category. The finalists will be announced in late March and the awards presented at a gala dinner on Saturday, May 6, 2006 at the Halifax Marriott Harbour Front Hotel. On the same day, St. Thomas University’s journalism program will conduct professional development workshops for journalists. Entry forms and regulations can be found on the website www.AJAs.ca or call 902 425-2727 for additional information.
