Inside Bay Area picks up ‘Candorvile’
The ever prolific Darrin Bell (Rudy Park, Candorville, Toontalk moderator) has picked up a few more clients with the Oakland Tribune, and its sister publications throughout the Bay Area. Inside Bay Area has a write up introducing the feature and also includes an interview that peaks into Darrin’s life and his strip.
Q. How do you handle doing two cartoons?
A. It’s like having two full-time jobs. I work from the time I get up to the time I go to bed — or until I get that look from my wife.
Q. What are you trying to accomplish with the strip?
A. It’s largely about family — the families you create — not the ones you’re born into. (The characters) never will abandon one another. They’ll always back each other up.
