‘Over the Hedge’ goes up against ‘Da Vinci Code’
With a May 19 release date, Michael Fry and T. Lewis’s movie adaptation of their strip ‘Over the Hedge’ will be going up against stiff competition as “The Da Vinci Code” opens that same weekend. “The Da Vinci Code” is starring Tom Hanks and directed by Ron Howard. Regarding opening up against Da Vinci Code:
I wouldn’t want to open another movie anywhere near this one,” Sony studio chief Amy Pascal was recently quoted as saying.
And hopes of picking up steam the next weekend might be tough as well with the release of “X-Men 3″ and not soon after Pixar’s “Cars” on June 9th.
