Cagle reporting the KAL accepted buyout
Daryl Cagle’s web log (scroll down) is reporting that KAL (Kevin Kallaugher), editorial cartoonist for the Balimore Sun, will accept the company’s buyout and leave the paper.
Sources tell us that another Tribune company cartoonist bit the dust as the Baltimore Sun’s Kevin Kallaugher (Kal) has accepted a buyout offer. It is expected that the Sun will not hire a new cartoonist. Until recently the Sun had two cartoonists, also employing Mike Lane, who took a buyout and left the Sun last year.
Update: The Baltimore Sun has an article online (free registration required) that backs up Cagle’s claims.
