‘Doonesbury’ Auction Raises Fisher House Funds
I reported this earlier, and the results are in on the amount of money raised by auctioning off Doonsbury artwork.
NEW YORK Eight original portraits of “Doonesbury” characters sold for a combined $3,503 in an 11-day eBay auction that ended Saturday.
Cartoonist Garry Trudeau donated the signed and framed portraits to Fisher House, which provides temporary homes for families of patients receiving medical care at major military and veterans’ hospitals (E&P Online, Nov. 8).
