Some Papers Have Problems Pulling Obsolete ‘Doonesbury’ Strip
E&P has a story about the problems some papers had pulling an out of date Doonesbury strip about the former Supreme Court nominee Harriet Miers.
Previously, Universal Press Syndicate pulled Garry Trudeau’s daily strips about Miers that were scheduled to run the week of Oct. 31 (E&P Online, Oct. 27). That sequence — which humorously showed Miers practicing for her Senate confirmation hearings — became obsolete after she withdrew as a Supreme Court nominee.
